Deborah Ruschmeyer is the owner / operator of The Artful Dressmaker, a design studio in Monroe, Wisconsin, USA. Deborah obtained her BFA in Fashion Design in 2001 from The International Academy of Design and Technology in Chicago. Deborah’s mission is to inspire others with her bespoke gowns. Her one-of-a-kind creations promote sustainability and combine classic tailoring with inventive textile design.
As a design graduate from National Institute of Fashion Technology, India, Harsh Jalan was always inclined towards embroidery because of his mother. Harsh has been working on creating embroidery since his college years, and feels that today in the commercial world that we live in, the respect for this art has died. In his initial design years, Harsh got the opportunity to work for a few of the finest couturiers including Giambattista Valli, Carolina Herrera, Richard Quinn and Valentino. In the process they have taught him the art of sophistication and the small details that are required to make each art unique.
Harvey Williams grew up in Gloucestershire, initially training under a London Eco- couture house from the age of 16. Later, graduating with a First in Bespoke Tailoring from London College of Fashion, where he would use embroidery and surface manipulation in most of his finished garments.
Hirushi Jayathilake runs a Womenswear Haute Couture Brand called H I R U S H I; An Emerging Haute Couture brand in London and Sri Lanka. Specializing in Hand Embroidery and Ornate Embroidery to create Haute Couture and Ready-to-wear silhouettes. Each piece is produced with the highest standard, offering a luxury and tactile feel to every piece intended to be treasured for a lifetime.
Born in Argentina in 1986, Mariana Guagliano studies Visual Arts, Clothing Design and Cultural Management. Since 2012 Mariana has investigated and carried out studies in relation to performance and textile art. Mariana has made collective, individual and performance exhibitions. During 2017 she studied at Ecole Lesage, Paris.
Shailja Sachan is a multidisciplinary fashion and textile designer, storyteller, and researcher committed to creating value for creative cultural arts and crafts through design, strategic research, and storytelling. Currently, she works as a designer/researcher with non-profits and artisanal enterprises actively designing for change, pursuing the values of social impact, circular design, and sustainability.
