Welcome to the Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery 2023 Upload portal. Please use this page to upload images of your submission for the Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery. The images of your work must be clear, unretouched, high resolution JPEGs accompanied by images that show your research and concept; we are looking to see your embroidery skills and your interpretation of the 2023 brief: Modern Mystic Arts and the Power of Colour.
The judges will be looking for ‘Wow Factor’, embroidery talent and interpretation of the brief.
All entrants will be notified whether they are through to the next round by email. Use an email address you can be reached at over the coming months.
Given the volume of entries we receive the judges will not be able to offer specific feedback on any work that does not make it to the next stage.
If you are one of our finalists you will be partnered with an expert mentor for the next phase of the competition. Learn more about the mentorship programme here.
Please also note that uploads without a valid registration will not be counted. In order to submit for the Prize for Embroidery, you must have registered between 4 October – 31 March 2023. This page will close at Midnight (GMT) on Friday 7th July 2023.
